Job summary

Calpine, a unit of Constellation Energy, seeks a senior maintenance professional in Texas to maintain electrical equipment, instrumentation and plant control systems. The role involves monitoring DCS, calibrating and repairing systems, and ensuring safe, compliant operation of the plant.

CMMS is used to manage maintenance tasks, logs and reports. The position requires at least 5 years of instrument/electrical experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Senior-level with at least 5 years in instrument/electrical and control system applications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity and math.
• Experience with DCS programming and configuration; valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Senior-level technical service and support within related trades.
• Prioritize and execute responsibilities for a trade or functional area.
• Resolve non-routine or escalated technical issues; ensure high quality outcomes.
• Guide others and provide on-the-job training in complex technical areas.
• Maintain logs, manuals, records, blueprints and operating procedures; provide written reports on control system conditions.
