Responsibilities

1. Provide DASD and tape storage administration support for our customers.
2. Manage storage pools for multiple customers and LPARs.
3. Perform problem diagnostics and resolution.
4. Create and oversee backup jobs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
5. Perform data and volume recovery.
6. Support operations on a 24/7 basis across multiple time zones.
7. Interact with hardware and software vendors as required.
8. Maintain documentation of issues, actions, and resolutions in the designated problem tracking system.
9. Coordinate with Disaster Recovery Services and other technical teams to execute disaster recovery plans.
10. Assist other mainframe teams to support them and our clients.
11. Adhere to schedules that optimize resource management and timely implementation.
12. Follow SNOW change control procedures.
13. Experience with z System architectures (z/OS, z/VM).
14. Knowledge of z/OS, z/VM, SMP/E, JES/EJES, TSO/ISPF, DFSMS, Capacity Management, VTAM, and JCL.
15. Hardware knowledge including IBM TS7700 series and EMC, VMAX.
16. Experience with installation and use of IBM TS7700 series and EMC replication software.
17. Primary administrator for storage tools such as DFSMS, DFHSM, DFRMM.
18. Analyze and configure Mainframe DASD storage, SMS constructs, ACS routines.
19. Monitor and support storage, backups, and data replication for Sysplexes.
20. Address DASD space concerns and configure capacity as needed.
21. Perform catalog reorganization and configure management class constructs.
22. Knowledge and experience with SAS and understanding of JES3.
23. Perform SMF or RMF research and manipulate data files using ISPF commands.

Qualifications

1. Experience with z System architectures (z/OS, z/VM).
2. Must have experience with DASD and storage management.
3. Knowledge of z/OS, z/VM, SMP/E, JES/EJES, TSO/ISPF, DFSMS, Capacity Management, VTAM, and JCL.
4. Hardware experience with IBM TS7700 series and EMC, VMAX.
5. Support availability on a 24/7 basis across multiple time zones.
6. Knowledge of MS Teams, SAS, JES3, SMF, and RMF.
7. Ability to perform data manipulation with ISPF commands.
8. Education: Master's degree in relevant technical fields plus 10 years of experience or 20 years of relevant experience.
9. Must pass Tier 4/HIGH Background Investigation.
10. Location: Remote, USA, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST.
