Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union is seeking a Sr. Security Engineer – IAM to lead design, development, and advancement of SECU’s IAM program.

The role acts as SME and technical lead across PAM, SSO, IGA, MFA, AD, CIAM, and related IAM tech while mentoring junior engineers and driving strategic IAM initiatives. You will collaborate with cybersecurity, IT, and business stakeholders to improve identity security, automate processes, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must live in North Carolina or contiguous state.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in related field.
• Proven experience with PAM, SSO, Directory Services, IGA, CIAM, MFA.
• Expert knowledge of AD architecture, Kerberos/NTLM, and GPO troubleshooting/authoring.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation and maintenance of security solutions to enhance SECU’s security posture.
• Configure and tune security tools; evaluate new offerings to improve security responsiveness.
• Identify opportunities for documentation enhancements, cost savings, and operational efficiency.
• Support governance and compliance efforts by participating in assessments and remediation activities.
• Participate in on-call rotation and mentor junior engineers.
• Pursue and maintain skills and certifications to stay current with cybersecurity trends.
• Engage in cross-functional IAM initiatives and special projects as needed.
