1Password LLC is hiring a Senior IT Engineer to lead Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives, refine Okta environments, and expand IaC/AI-enabled IT workflows. This remote US/Canada role focuses on secure access, RBAC, automation, and cross-team collaboration to strengthen digital security across the company.

The role emphasizes building auditable IAM processes, integrating SAML/OIDC/SCIM, and partnering with IT, Security, and Device Infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

Experience in IT engineering or systems administration.
Experience administering Okta or comparable IdP in production.
Experience applying identity protocols SAML, OIDC, SCIM to connect apps.
Build integrations and automation with REST APIs and scripting (Python, Bash).
Use infrastructure/code tools with Git-based workflows.

Responsibilities

Operate and improve Okta configurations and policies.
Lead IAM initiatives from concept through rollout including RBAC and onboarding/offboarding automation.
Build safeguards for identity changes that are auditable and secure.
Design durable app integrations using SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and custom APIs.
Partner with IT, Security, and Device Infra teams on rollouts and audits.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide identity guidance across the company.
