Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Identity & Access Management, to build and modernize authentication and authorization across its healthcare technology platforms. You will migrate legacy systems to Okta, implement identity infrastructure with Terraform, and own end-to-end identity capabilities explaining complex flows and secure engineering practices.

The role requires 7+ years in software engineering and hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML, plus strong

Qualifications

7+ years of relevant experience in software engineering or security engineering.
5+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production applications or services.
2+ years hands-on identity and security engineering experience.
Production experience with modern identity providers (Okta, Entra ID, Auth0, etc.) and OAuth/OIDC/SAML workflows.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy secure authentication and authorization capabilities including SSO and MFA.
Lead migration of applications to Okta or similar modern identity platforms.
Build and maintain identity infrastructure using Terraform and IaC practices.
Design identity integrations using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and SCIM.
Develop secure services and APIs supporting authentication, provisioning, and identity workflows.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and security teams to translate identity requirements into scalable solutions.
Integrate identity configurations into CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and deployment.
