Position Summary
- The Cons IAM Security Engineer within Foundations administers, implements, and maintains the on-premise Active Directory Forest(s) and infrastructure, and supports the Entra ID tenant for the HCA enterprise. This role will serve as an authoritative voice on Active Directory best practices for the HCA enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Design and administer Tier-0 infrastructure on premise Active Directory Domain Controller servers.
- Design and administer AD structure and content in a multi-forest, multi-domain Microsoft Active Directory environment and Entra ID Tenants.
- Manage infrastructure for Active Directory tools and services such as Active Roles, GPOAdmin, Semperis ADFR, and Semperis DSP.
- Develop and implement Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to configure and enforce settings and security policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced Active Directory issues, including replication, authentication, and authorization.
- Design and implement domain trusts for resource sharing between domains.
- Manage Domain Name Services (DNS) and administer DNS records supporting Active Directory domains.
- Create and maintain documentation on policies and procedures related to Active Directory and associated tools.
- Monitor Active Directory infrastructure to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
- Coordinate improvements, follow-up, and report on the outcomes of changes implemented.
- Participate in a team-oriented environment that encourages information sharing, cross-training, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, including structure, hierarchy, trusts, OUs, FSMO roles, replication, DNS, Group Policies, authentication protocols, and LDAP.
- Multiple years of experience administering Domain Controller Servers in a large enterprise environment.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
