Job summary

Itron, Inc. is seeking a Principal, Identity Management to lead the enterprise IAM program across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This role drives architecture, standards, and strategic IAM initiatives to secure workforce, customer, product, and non-human identities.

The candidate will advance Zero Trust, governance, and automation while collaborating with Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, and Product teams to deliver scalable, secure identity solutions and measurable risk reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, MIS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in cybersecurity, identity engineering, or cloud security.
• 5+ years designing and operating enterprise IAM solutions.
• Expert in authentication, authorization, SSO, federation, LDAP, and identity lifecycle management.
• Experience across hybrid, multi-cloud, SaaS, Windows/Linux, and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve enterprise IAM architecture and strategic roadmap.
• Lead design and modernization of secure identity solutions for workforce, customers, products, and non-human identities.
• Advance Zero Trust with least privilege and risk-based access controls.
• Establish identity governance processes: lifecycle, certifications, entitlement analysis, role management.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Cloud, Product Security and stakeholders to deliver scalable IAM solutions.
• Define monitoring, logging, and metrics for access risk and identity hygiene.
• Provide leadership during identity-related incidents and major security decisions.
• Drive automation, policy-as-code, and AI-enabled IAM capabilities.
