Job summary

Recursion is seeking a Staff Engineer for Identity & Access Management to lead IAM strategy across cloud and on-premise environments. The role involves implementing RBAC/ABAC, building identity governance, and aligning IAM with a zero-trust security model.

You will collaborate with IT, security, and engineering teams to ensure appropriate access controls, while defining metrics to monitor IAM effectiveness and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of IAM and information security experience.
• Proven track record leading large IAM projects in cloud-first/hybrid environments.
• Expert level with IAM products and modern authentication standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess current IAM state and revamp IAM strategy across products and platforms.
• Drive IAM implementation as part of zero-trust strategy.
• Architect cloud-based identity governance and access management solutions.
• Implement RBAC/ABAC IAM workflows for onboarding and lifecycle management.
• Advise cross-functional teams to embed IAM principles in security architecture.
• Partner with Engineering and IT to enforce appropriate access privileges.
• Establish KPIs, KCIs, KRIs to measure IAM control effectiveness.
• Ensure SOX, GxP and regulatory compliance through IAM design.
