Job summary

3M is seeking a Principal Authentication Services Engineer to own the design, implementation and operations of enterprise authentication across cloud and on-prem environments. You will drive SSO integrations (SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0), MFA configurations, and phishing-resistant credentials while aligning with Zero Trust concepts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher completed and verified prior to start.
Eight years of IAM design, deployment, and management in private/public/government/military environments.
Five years of experience with SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and FIDO2 in similar environments.
Five years leading architectural initiatives, conditional access hardening, or Zero Trust programs in similar environments.

Responsibilities

Serve as escalation point for complex authentication incidents and engineering challenges.
Mentor mid-level engineers on the Authentication Services team.
Engage with application teams, infrastructure engineering, and security operations as a trusted IAM authority.
