Job summary

LPL Financial seeks an AVP IAM AI Engineer to design, operationalize, and automate identity controls for human and non-human actors, embedding identity in AI development and ensuring secure runtime controls across environments.

You will lead the team, build governance for AI agents, manage secrets workflows, and enforce least-privilege policies, enabling safe AI adoption at scale within a regulated financial services context.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in identity & access management or information security.
• Hands-on engineering experience with IAM platforms.
• Experience building/leading technical teams.
• Experience with Ping Identity or comparable platform.
• Experience with SailPoint or comparable IGA.
• Experience with Idira/HashiCorp Vault or secrets-management.

Responsibilities

• Identity runtime controls across human and non-human identities with real-time authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement.
• Design, build, and automate governance for AI agents and non-human identities across provisioning, rotation, attestation, and deprovisioning.
• Develop and automate secrets-manager workflows for AI systems and agents, including rotation and ephemeral credentials.
• Define and enforce least-privilege authorization models as policy-as-code.
• Establish standards for identity flows in agentic systems (user-to-agent, A2A, workload-to-service).
• Collaborate with engineering and data science teams on AI app development, ensuring identity and AuthN/AuthZ are built in from the start.
• Support deployment of IAM controls for end users where required.
• Integrate identity telemetry with SIEM/SOC tooling and support incident response for credential misuse.
• Partner with GRC, risk, and audit to meet regulatory requirements and provide audit evidence.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a team; set direction and roadmap for NHI and agentic IAM.
