Inversion is an aerospace company pioneering reentry tech, seeking senior engineers to ideate, design, prototype, and deploy new hypersonic concepts. Work directly with the CTO on ambitious programs and advance a fast-moving, ambiguity-rich environment.

Based in Los Angeles, this role requires onsite presence, deep flight dynamics knowledge, CAD proficiency, and a track record turning ideas into hardware for defense and space applications.

Formación

• Typically 9+ years in aerospace engineering with system-level vehicle design, analysis, and integration.
• Experience designing and modeling hypersonic, reentry, or launch vehicle systems.
• Strong foundation in flight dynamics, aerothermodynamics, GNC, and trajectory analysis.
• Proven ability to take an idea from zero to one, prototyping and validating hardware.
• Must be able to work fully onsite in a fast-paced ambiguity-rich environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret/Top Secret clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with the CTO to conceive, architect, and develop hypersonic and reentry concepts.
• Lead system-level design and performance modeling of advanced flight systems.
• Create CAD models for proposed systems and subsystems for proposals and design.
• Translate ideas into executable proposals to win contracts and develop technologies.
• Build, test, and iterate from 6DOF simulations to prototyping and validation.
• Operate independently and drive ideas to reality in ambiguity.
