Job summary

Castelion Corporation is seeking a Senior Guidance Systems Engineer to develop guidance solutions for its long-range hypersonic strike vehicles. You will shape flight performance from concept through flight tests, collaborating with avionics, flight software, and GNC teams to design and validate guidance algorithms in a fast-paced, hardware-rich environment.

The role requires advanced degrees in aerospace, 3+ years in guidance system design for high-speed vehicles, and hands-on trajectory

Qualifications

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
3+ years of guidance system design, analysis, and validation for high-speed vehicles.
Experience with fielding guidance systems for DoD or similar programs.
Strong background in trajectory/flight simulation (3DOF & 6DOF) and real-time trajectory generation.

Responsibilities

Lead design and optimization of hypersonic flight vehicle guidance methods.
Conduct trajectory and flight simulations to evaluate performance and guide decisions.
Enhance inertial and active guidance for robust performance under varying conditions.
Collaborate with avionics, seeker, flight software, and GNC teams for integration.
Define and execute test plans for subscale and full-scale flight tests; mentor juniors.
Partner with program leadership on technical trades aligned with mission success.
