Job summary

Castelion is seeking a Senior Guidance Engineer to develop guidance solutions for long-range hypersonic strike vehicles. You will shape flight performance from concept through flight tests and deployment while working hands-on with multidisciplinary teams to design, analyze, and validate guidance algorithms in a rapid hardware-driven environment.

The role requires advanced degrees in aerospace and a strong background in trajectory simulation, onboard guidance, AI-assisted optimization, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of guidance system design, analysis, and validation for high-speed vehicles (missiles, rockets, hypersonic systems)
• Field guidance systems experience for DoD or similar programs
• Experience with 3DOF and 6DOF trajectory simulation and real-time trajectory generation
• Familiarity with AI/deep learning for trajectory optimization
• Proficiency with flight/trajectory analysis tools TAOS or POST

Responsibilities

• Develop guidance solutions for Castelion's long-range hypersonic vehicles from concept through flight tests
• Shape flight performance by designing, analyzing, characterizing, and validating guidance algorithms
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a rapid hardware-driven development environment
• Support deployment of guidance systems across flight campaigns
