Qualifications

• Bachelor- or higher-level degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering as a baseline.
• 9+ years in hypersonic, reentry, or rocketry external flow-field aerothermodynamics.
• Experience with high-fidelity gas dynamics simulations at non-equilibrium conditions.

Responsibilities

• Characterize aerothermodynamic environment around the lifting-body reentry vehicle.
• Lead CFD strategy, develop and implement cutting-edge CFD tools and workflows.
• Create high-fidelity simulations, mentor teammates, and drive model confidence.
• Prototype and iterate new tools for multi-physics plasma environments.
