Job summary

The New York office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Information Technology Department. The role focuses on building and maintaining Hyper-V infrastructure, SCVMM management, and secure, compliant operations in a legal environment.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of Windows infrastructure experience, strong AD/DNS/DHCP skills, and hands-on expertise with enterprise virtualization and automation using PowerShell.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Windows infrastructure engineering or architecture experience
• Deep Hyper-V expertise in clustered environments (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server administration
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity architectures
• Experience deploying and managing Guardicore Centra for network micro-segmentation (benefits)

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage Hyper-V clusters including live migration and failover clustering
• Administer SCVMM for Hyper-V host management, networks, provisioning, and cluster lifecycle
• Configure and maintain virtual networking with VM switches, VLANs, QoS, and SR-IOV
• Manage VM lifecycle including provisioning, snapshotting, backup, and decommissioning
• Performance-tune Hyper-V hosts and resolve complex hypervisor issues
• Implement Hyper-V replica for disaster recovery and business continuity
• Convert servers from VMware to Hyper-V and build OS images
• Develop PowerShell automation for provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance
• Administer Cisco server management and UCS infrastructure health
