Job summary

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Fishing and Boating Services in Crisfield, MD is seeking a Hydrographic Engineer Associate IV to supervise field crews in surveying and buoy operations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate including at least four courses in mathematics and/or science.
• Two years of experience performing advanced level Hydrographic Engineering Associate work or three years of experience performing full performance level/advance level Hydrographic Engineering Associate work in the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
• Nine years of experience involving any combination of hydrography, engineering, surveying, or construction inspection work including three years of experience in hydrographic engineering associated activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise survey teams and buoy operations; lead vessels in buoy tending activities.
• Oversee structural/cosmetic repairs and upgrades; command vessels involved in buoy operations.
