Job summary

HDR in Billings, MT, seeks a Senior Hydrogeologist to lead hydraulic and hydrologic analyses, modeling, and investigations, guiding projects with broad impact across major company programs.

Responsibilities include planning and supervising medium to large staff, serving as Project Manager on larger initiatives, water supply planning, wells and pump design, groundwater or surface water modeling, and report writing. Local candidates preferred; Montana office-based role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Water Resources or closely related field
  • 10 or more years of analysis, modeling and design and management experience
  • Project management skills a plus
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in mining or alternative hydrogeologic experience is preferred.
  • Local candidates preferred. Must be willing to work out of one of our Montana offices.

Compensation

Montana: $108,000 - $155,000
