Job summary

ONEOK, Inc. in Tulsa, OK and Houston, TX, is seeking a Hydraulics Engineer III to support safe, reliable operation of natural gas pipeline assets. You will lead hydraulic modeling and analysis, develop system models, and provide recommendations to optimize capacity and efficiency.

This role collaborates with Operations Control, Commercial, and Scheduling teams to inform operational decisions and support growth projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field, or 5–10 years of applicable experience.
• 7+ years of experience in engineering and pipeline design/operation, preferably with a hydraulic focus.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling software (e.g., SPS, Fathom, Synergi Gas, PipelineOptimizer, ProMax, VMG Sim).

Responsibilities

• Leads steady-state and/or transient hydraulic modeling for existing assets and expansion projects.
• Implements improvements related to system capacity and operating costs.
• Builds, maintains, and validates system models for complex analysis.
• Collects and analyzes data to identify pipeline optimization opportunities.
• Recommends and implements new processes to improve modeling accuracy.
• Creates daily pipeline operating plans and guides Operations Control, Commercial, and Scheduling teams.
• Supports field operations planning and maintenance outages.
• Engages with project teams to ensure value is achieved and retained.
• Collaborates with leadership to align on optimization strategies.
• Reports on projects through project management tools as required.
