Job summary

Jackson Dawson is seeking a Lead Server Administrator to own the design, deployment, and day-to-day health of a hybrid server environment. You will bridge on-premises Windows Server with Microsoft Azure IaaS across multiple sites, serving as the go-to escalation point for server-related issues.

This role is hands-on and deeply technical, requiring mentoring of the team and close collaboration with IT Security, Development, and PMO to keep the business running. On-site in Dearborn, MI.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Windows server and systems administration in enterprise environments.
• Experience administering hybrid on-premises Windows Server and Azure IaaS.
• Strong AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy skills in multi-site environments.
• Proven IIS administration including SSL/TLS certificate management.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Windows Server across on-premises and Azure IaaS.
• Administer VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter), VM provisioning and cluster health.
• Own server lifecycle: patching, firmware updates, hardware maintenance and decommissioning.
• Maintain server build standards, CIS baseline hardening, and documentation.
• Manage hybrid identity with Entra ID (Azure AD) and Conditional Access.
