Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Hybrid Network Engineer to own a critical hub-and-spoke function between cloud and on-prem edge nodes. You will ensure parity between cloud and edge during DDIL conditions, manage identity federation, and drive reliability testing while mentoring junior ICs.

Required is a strong software background with Go/Rust/Python, distributed-systems fundamentals, and deep cloud architecture knowledge (GCP preferred).

Qualifications

• Software background is mandatory.
• Strong background in Go, Rust or Python.
• Experience with distributed-systems fundamentals (consensus, eventual consistency).
• Cloud architecture depth, preferably GCP, including networking and IdP.
• Willing to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identity federation & degraded auth - extend centralized identity to disconnected edge; cached-credential auth when hub is unreachable; propagate RBAC-by-operation/group to spokes.
• Data reconciliation & state consistency - own cloudedge data-refresh contract; ensure bilateral consistency and cache refreshing.
• Config/architecture drift - automate propagation of cloud changes to edge nodes so parity is maintained.
• DDIL reliability mandate - define and test failover/reconnect behavior per HA and DDIL concepts.
• Set technical direction for the sub-team; mentor ICs and provide leadership.
