Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Testing, Adjusting and Balancing Technician for our Columbia, MD or York, PA offices. The role involves site visits within the DMV area, collaborating with the Property and Buildings Team to deliver precise HVAC balancing, commissioning support, and performance testing for Hospitals, Labs, and Higher Education facilities.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of Testing and Balancing field experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; HVAC trade school preferred.
• NEBB Certified Technician strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Testing, Adjusting and Balancing to ensure proper HVAC operation in institutional settings.
• Conduct critical space testing to verify airflow and room pressurization.
• Pre-commissioning to confirm installations meet contract documents and owner specs.
• Execute functional performance tests to verify HVAC systems operate as designed.
• Lead and supervise junior staff and ensure quality of deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients to schedule manpower and follow up on proposals.
