A Brief Overview

CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. The Senior HVAC Technician will be responsible for both preventive and corrective HVAC maintenance work and minimal installations with our client. As a senior service technician, entry-level technicians will look to you to set the bar, and to help them develop.

What You Will Do
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance services to existing HVAC equipment according to work orders generated from a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Complete all documentation of work performed in compliance with the CMMS data collection process.
  • Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, engines, pumps, belts, fans, air handling units, VAV, and fan-powered boxes.
  • Maintain the safe operation of systems including electronic/pneumatic environmental controls, oil/gas fired water tube boilers, and auxiliary equipment such as various types of pumps, de-aerating tanks, air compressor blowers, etc.
  • Diagnose problems in environmental controls and stationary systems using proper inspection/testing and monitoring techniques while exhibiting safe and proper use of tools.
  • Familiarize with the design and layout of the facilities; learn the locations of installed environmental control and monitoring systems/equipment; understand operating procedures relating to environmental controls.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and standards of CGL Facility Maintenance, OSHA, and our clients.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance with local building and safety codes.
  • May escort subcontractors during their work at the site.
  • Perform other preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Serve as a mentor, train, and/or inspect the work of other HVAC and General Trades technicians. May travel to other facilities to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace during and after maintenance tasks.
  • Complete all required compliance, safety, and developmental training.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 4-6 years building maintenance experience required
  • Refrigeration experience preferred
  • Experience managing others preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance
  • Ability to read blueprints and as-built drawings
  • Willing to work occasional on-call shifts
  • Pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
  • Microsoft Office skills required
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • EPA Certification required
  • HVAC Certification required
  • Valid Driver's License in State
