Job summary

ARS-Rescue Rooter in Tampa, FL is looking for a Senior HVAC Technician to diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems, including furnaces and air conditioners, and to fix failed inspection issues. This is a full-time, year-round role with competitive pay.

You will perform preventive maintenance, communicate with homeowners, and ensure repairs meet safety and code standards. EPA certification preferred or obtainable; a valid driver’s license is required; background and drug screening

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential HVAC experience
• EPA certification (or ability to obtain)
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Pass background check and drug screening
• Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, and lift heavy HVAC equipment

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioning units
• Must be able to fix failed inspection issues
• Disassemble and remove outdated HVAC systems, then install, start up, and troubleshoot new residential HVAC systems
• Perform HVAC repairs, service calls, and preventative maintenance
• Identify system issues and recommend appropriate heating and air conditioning solutions
• Ensure all HVAC service work meets company standards and local code requirements
• Communicate clearly with homeowners about system performance and recommended repairs
• Deliver professional customer service while completing HVAC service and repair work
