Job summary

Weikle’s Hometown Heating & Air in North Carolina is seeking an Experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our family‑owned team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands‑on residential and light commercial experience, EPA license, and proven diagnostic and repair skills.

You will perform routine maintenance, communicate clearly about issues and costs, and participate in an on‑call rotation. We offer 100% paid health and life insurance, PTO, holidays, training, and a stable work schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on HVAC service experience in residential and light commercial settings.
• EPA License is required.
• Must pass a comprehensive drug screening prior to employment.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair HVAC systems including refrigerant, electrical, controls and mechanical issues.
• Capable of working independently with strong time management to meet schedules and targets.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must be a team player and maintain good attitude; keep truck inventory up to date; be able to work on-call rotation and coordinate with office for paperwork and records.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems (heating, cooling, refrigeration).
• Perform routine maintenance and preventive services.
• Inform customers of issues, anticipated costs, and work timelines.
• Advise customers on preventative maintenance plans.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Document all serviced work and maintain accurate records.
• Manage 5-6 service calls per day with minimal callbacks.
• Maintain good communication with office staff.
