Job summary

The Wyoming Department of Corrections seeks an HVAC Specialist at the Wyoming Women’s Center to maintain and repair HVAC systems, including heating, central air, refrigeration, oil burners, and related equipment. You will ensure safe operation and performance of climate control across the facility.

Position involves oversight of contractor work for code compliance, collaboration with engineers, and energy-efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of progressive HVAC experience.
• EPA license may be required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains HVAC/R systems and controls.
• Oversees HVAC/R projects by contractors for code compliance and quality.
• Works with engineers on project design and installation.
• Designs cost estimates for new environmental control systems.
• Maintains ozone-depleting substances handling and safety.
