The Senior HVAC Technician is responsible for tasks related to physical plant construction, installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair. Essential Job Duties

• Perform all duties in accordance with company LOTO procedures
• Support Engineering in the installation of HVAC units, including electronic and mechanical components
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC units including Air Handlers, Chillers, TCMs, Window Units, Stability Chambers, and other process equipment
• Perform minor mechanical work such as motor installation, belt installation, filter changes, coil replacement/repair, steam valve replacement, and related mechanical and electrical tasks
• Participate in site initiatives as required by management
• Properly utilize the web-based maintenance work order system, ensure proper reporting on work orders, and submit necessary paperwork and expense reports
• Assist other technicians with equipment training and troubleshooting
• Perform small electrical tasks including lighting replacement, wire pulls, and work involving low, medium, and high voltage
• Read and understand electrical schematics and ladder logic
• Coordinate with supervisors and contractors for major work and troubleshooting
• Inspect, repair, and maintain building systems and production support equipment
• Perform various maintenance and mechanical trade work as needed
• Maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues and professionals
• Attend meetings and participate on committees as required
• Work overtime as needed
• Complete assigned jobs and preventive maintenance tasks by due dates

Education, Experience, Certification, and Licenses

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years’ related experience
• EPA refrigerant usage certification
