Role Description

The Senior HVAC Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale Area, serving customers throughout Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade Counties. This role includes performing advanced diagnostics on residential and commercial HVAC systems, identifying issues, and completing repairs and equipment replacements in line with company standards. Day-to-day responsibilities involve conducting preventive maintenance, installing and commissioning new systems, and ensuring all work meets safety, EPA, and local code requirements. The Senior HVAC Technician will interact directly with customers, explain findings and recommendations, provide accurate estimates, and deliver professional, courteous service. The role may also include mentoring junior technicians, maintaining detailed service records, and coordinating with the office team to support efficient scheduling and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Strong HVAC troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing complex system issues and resolving performance problems efficiently.
• Experience with plumbing related to HVAC systems, including condensate drainage, piping, and related components.
• Proficiency in preventive maintenance practices, including inspections, cleaning, adjustments, and system performance checks.
• Knowledge of electricity and electrical systems as they apply to HVAC equipment, including wiring, controls, and safety procedures.
• Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Previous experience as an HVAC technician, with senior or lead-level responsibilities preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders, and to use HVAC diagnostic tools and instruments.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record for travel between job sites in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale Area.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, respectful language.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training or relevant certifications in HVAC are highly beneficial.
