Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking an HVAC Start Up / Commissioning Technician to support field teams and oversee critical maintenance and commissioning tasks, ensuring safe and efficient completion.

Ideal candidates have a background in controls or HVAC, can survey repairs, develop repair scenarios, and implement them with minimal supervision. Strong communication with clients and documentation of activities are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the HVAC trade field; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
• Previous experience in an operational and customer facing role
• In-depth knowledge of two or more disciplines: plumbing, electrical, HVAC cooling/ducted air systems, construction practices, generator systems, and controls systems
• Excellent building services knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
• Must be available to work assigned schedules

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Set up and implementation of HVAC systems, starting them up and successfully programing them
• Work with the multiple clients to schedule and successfully perform assigned tasks
• Supervise tasks and projects assigned
• Investigate, evaluate, and recommend changes and modifications to improve safety
• Maintain inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance records
• Manage employee time records and daily activity reports
• Participate in safety inspections, job safety analyses, and safety meetings
• Testing of new equipment / repair equipment to design specifications
• Performs other duties as assigned
