Job summary

Polk Mechanical Company LLC is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician to join a self-directed team, owning tasks with urgency and excellence. The role features 24/7 on-call rotation, generous benefits, and a company vehicle.

You will troubleshoot, install, maintain, and upgrade a wide range of HVAC systems, communicating professionally with customers and office staff while ensuring paperwork is completed daily.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience: A minimum of 5+ years of verifiable experience providing professional services in the HVAC industry.
• Refrigerant expertise: Piping installation, evacuation, and charging.
• Controls knowledge: Wiring, thermostats, and various devices.
• Universal EPA license: Required for handling and installing refrigerators.
• Tools & software: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite software.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Driving: A clean driving record and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Identify repair or replacement needs accurately and ensure failed components are precisely identified.
• Install, repair, maintain, and upgrade HVAC systems including refrigerant piping, evacuation, and charging.
• Start and commission HVAC equipment such as fans, pumps, and AHUs.
• Use instruments to measure static pressure, voltage, amperage, and CFM.
• Perform maintenance including filter changes, belts, and motors.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and our office personnel.
• Complete and submit paperwork daily.
• Abide by safety rules and regulations, including courteous and defensive driving.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule with 24/7 on-call rotation.
