Job summary

The Getty is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to maintain and service HVAC and refrigeration systems, vaults and related kitchen equipment at the Getty Center.

Responsibilities include inspections, scheduled maintenance, calibration, and remote monitoring via DDC systems. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to temperature control, and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent required.
• EPA 608 refrigeration license required.
• 5+ years experience servicing refrigeration equipment, preferably in service trades.
• College or trade related courses preferred.
• California driver license with <3 DMV points.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, inspects, overhauls and performs scheduled maintenance of HVAC systems, refrigeration and food service equipment.
• Maintains tight climate conditions in collection areas to ensure environmental systems function properly.
• Installs, replaces, adjusts, and calibrates major components of refrigeration systems (compressors, condensers, valves, thermostats, coils, drives).
• Uses direct digital control (DDC) systems to monitor HVAC systems remotely.
• Checks, repairs and replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores and other components.
• Adheres to established safety procedures and schedules.
