Job summary

Big Horn Heating and Cooling is seeking a Lead Installer to oversee residential and commercial HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical system installations. This role leads installation teams, ensures quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely project completion.

You will mentor apprentices and junior installers while maintaining excellent customer service, documenting installations, and coordinating with project managers to meet timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of installation experience in HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical systems.
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Technical or trade school training strongly preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification preferred (if HVAC).
• Additional certifications (e.g., NATE, manufacturer-specific, hydronics) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform installation of HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical systems according to company standards, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications.
• Supervise and train installation team members, including apprentices and junior installers.
• Schedule and prioritize installation tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure all installations comply with safety, building, and code requirements.
• Inspect work to maintain quality and identify potential issues before project completion.
• Collaborate with project managers, service technicians, and customers to ensure project success.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, materials used, and service reports.
