Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. seeks a seasoned HVAC Superintendent to lead field HVAC and mechanical construction on major projects in Reno, NV. You will guide foremen and trade partners, manage schedules, safety, and quality, and coordinate closely with project leadership to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires deep experience with HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and equipment installation, with an emphasis on field leadership, safety, and reliable turnover to owners.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of field leadership experience.
• Significant experience in HVAC, mechanical, or MEP construction field operations.
• Experience with large‑scale commercial or industrial projects.
• Directing and coordinating HVAC/mechanical trades.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, construction principles, field practices, and sequencing.
• Experience leading installation of ductwork, piping, and related systems.
• Self‑perform construction management experience preferred.
• Experience collaborating with Project Management teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HVAC and mechanical construction activities in the field.
• Lead field foremen and trade partners to align with schedule, quality, safety, and budget.
• Assist Estimating with HVAC bidding opportunities and preconstruction services.
• Develop and maintain CPM schedules focusing on HVAC procurement and turnover milestones.
• Coordinate HVAC work with other trades to reduce conflicts and maintain flow.
• Ensure safety programs and quality processes for HVAC systems.
• Document daily HVAC progress, manpower, deliveries, and inspections.
