Job summary

APTIM seeks senior-level mechanical engineers to join our team serving Government and Commercial programs. You will lead HVAC design and analysis across projects, applying ASHRAE/SMACNA/ACGIH standards and using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation.

Travel to site locations and client meetings support ongoing work and professional development. The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of related experience, strong software skills, and willingness

Qualifications

• Requires a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years related experience.
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and engineering software.
• Travel willingness for infrequent field assignments.
• Construction experience and certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply mechanical engineering principles to planning, design, and commissioning phases.
• Perform HVAC load calculations, duct sizing, and equipment sizing.
• Support field teams with engineering guidance and site meetings.
• Ensure conformance to codes, standards, and company policies.
• Lead or supervise lower-level personnel and mentor junior engineers.
• Contribute to project design basis and preparation of specifications.
