Job summary

IDOM USA is seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer to lead design of HVAC systems for ISO-cleanrooms, labs, and controlled environments. You will ensure performance, regulatory compliance, and alignment with client requirements from concept through IFC and construction support.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in industrial HVAC design, a mechanical engineering degree, and PE registration is preferred. Travel may be required on international projects, and the role offers a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical) required.
• Professional Engineering registration preferred.
• 10–15 years of HVAC design experience in industrial applications.
• Experience in Manufacturing, Pharma, Semi-conductors, or batteries.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of HVAC systems for ISO-classified cleanrooms, labs, and controlled environments.
• Develop system concepts, PFDs, and P&IDs for AHUs, HEPA filtration, make-up air, chilled water, and exhaust.
• Size and select air handling units, fans, coils, ducts, and controls.
• Perform heat load calculations, air balance, and cleanroom classification studies per ISO 14644, ASHRAE, FDA, USP.
• Specify environmental monitoring systems and contamination control strategies.
• Coordinate cleanroom HVAC design with architecture, process, electrical, plumbing, and automation.
