Job summary

SFCS Architects is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelor of Science Degree and 12+ years of HVAC systems design experience. The role involves collaborating with architects to determine HVAC solutions, preparing contract documents in Revit, and overseeing HVAC construction administration tasks.

The ideal candidate must be licensed and able to register in multiple states, with strong knowledge of ASHRAE standards and relevant building codes.

Qualifications

• P.E. registration, with the ability to be registered in multiple states is required.
• 12+ years of experience in commercial and residential building design.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, NFPA and IBC codes.

Responsibilities

• Meet with architects to determine appropriate HVAC systems and elements.
• Evaluate existing HVAC components for re-use and retrofit.
• Prepare contract documents using Revit for schematic design packages.
• Assist in HVAC construction administration including shop drawing review.
