CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer to join our Power & Manufacturing - Generation & Energy Management Team working remotely.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA is a leader in sustainable district energy, power and thermal generation systems. Our approach includes critical systems that are maintainable and operable with redundant, fail-safe backups. Our expertise encompasses gas turbines, steam turbines, reciprocating engines, gas plants, biomass plants, coal-fired boiler plants, chiller plants, high-voltage substation, and more. From the early stages of master planning and permitting through comprehensive detailed design, we partner with our clients to create solutions that provide reliable, sustainable energy.

The Senior HVAC Engineer has considerable engineering knowledge in their respective field and may provide leadership for their work group based on their extensive experience. The individual in this role is responsible for providing guidance and oversight to multiple teams working on numerous projects. Additionally, the Senior HVAC Engineer oversees all phases of a technical project from conception and design to completion, while providing engineering guidance to other departments and training new engineering staff.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Minimum 15 years' progressive engineering experience required
• Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline(s) with a proven ability to practically apply best practices
• Proficiency with MS Office software required
• Understands QA/QC procedures and basic business practices as well as laws related to engineering
• Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
• Completely familiar with and advocates for the company's standards for quality control and compliance
• Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of fundamentals in specialty areas
• An active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
• Proven ability to lead a team

SALARY RANGE:

$126,000 - $149,500

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
