Job summary

E‑Frontiers is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead high‑voltage substation design and HV transmission projects. You’ll drive multi‑disciplinary design efforts, coordinate with civil teams, and engage with utilities and clients on technical issues.

You will develop layouts, single‑line diagrams, protection schemes, and equipment specifications, review vendor submittals, and contribute to proposal work. Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience designing HV transmission, distribution, or substation projects.
• Experience creating physical HV layouts, single-line diagrams, and protection schemes.
• Proficiency in HV power system studies (load flow, fault level, voltage regulation).
• Experience reviewing supplier drawings and vendor documentation.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV transmission and distribution design from concept to client approval.
• Coordinate with civil designers to meet electrical equipment and installation requirements.
• Serve as SPOC for utilities, clients, and owner's engineers, managing design reviews and queries.
• Manage design deliverables, logs, drawing packages, and submittals.
• Develop and review HV layouts, single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and equipment specifications.
• Prepare procurement specs for HV equipment (transformers, breakers, switchgear, NERs).
• Review supplier drawings and vendor submittals against project specs.
• Perform HV studies: protection coordination, load flow, fault level, voltage regulation.
• Attend client and design meetings; provide technical leadership.
• Support delivery with problem solving and travel as needed.
