Position Outline
The Senior Human Resources Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the workforce strategy and culture within Goodwill organization. This position is responsible for the management of the organization’s total rewards program and employee relations functions while driving employee satisfaction, performance management, and team development initiatives. Performs all or a combination of the following specific duties as required. Ultimately, this role aims to create a positive work environment that fosters growth, diversity, and high performance across all levels of the organization:
- Demonstrates Goodwill Manasota Core Values in all actions, ensures adherence to Guiding Principles and CARF standards.
- Help develop and maintain an appropriate Human Resources department culture that creates and supports increasing donor value, revenue, profits, and operational efficiency and effectiveness while reflecting the Core Values and Guiding Principles of the organization.
- Design and ensures the alignment of all Human Resources SOPs involving the hiring, onboarding, and performance management of Goodwill team members.
- Assists with the administration of Goodwill’s compensation and benefits program to ensure Goodwill is successful in attracting and retaining necessary talent within available resources.
- Partners with benefit and wellness vendors and facilitators to ease the understanding of organization’s total benefit system; to include but not limited to all the portfolio of company’s benefits (medical, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, 401k, GPC, etc.)
- Administers the open enrollment process, regular enrollments including new hires, and all the day-to-day aspects of benefits administration and compensation changes.
- Fulfill all reporting and notifications requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations in accordance with COBRA, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and other applicable entities.
- Design and monitor internal control systems to maintain compliance with internal and external regulations, such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Non-Compete/Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest Disclosures

The Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of successful experience leading HR functional areas.
- Relevant BS Degree or equivalent experience.
- HR certifications preferred.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Design, development, and implementation of human resource systems.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Special Requirements
- Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekends. This position may require travel to multiple locations daily.
- This position is safety-sensitive and requires drug testing.
- This role may require access to facility keys and alarm systems.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a privately owned reliable means of transportation to travel throughout GIMI territory to visit stores and locations, as necessary.
