Job description

As the Senior HR Manager, you will provide strategic counsel, coaching and direction to the Plant Director of Operations and other business leaders. You will drive the development and implementation of human resource strategies and initiatives.

In this role, you will be trusted to:

  1. Evaluate the organization's future workforce needs in order to recommend changes to the organization's human resource strategy and adapt existing current human resource programs to meet these needs.
  2. Recommend budgets, policies, and medium to long-term planning.
  3. Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of human resource professionals to ensure that the organization's human resource strategy is implemented effectively and within established budgets and that the organization complies with all relevant regulations, laws and employment standards.
  4. Collect and analyze HR data in order to make recommendations to business unit management.
  5. Use knowledge of various human resources functions, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training and employee relations to provide tactical HR support to line managers.
  6. Recommend and drive execution of programs and policies that create or reinforce a positive employee relations atmosphere.
  7. Prepare internal employee communications regarding company policies.
  8. Counsel employees in the interpretation and application of human resources programs and coordinates recruitment, orientation, training, compensation, EEO and benefit activities.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, a related field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years relevant HR and management experience OR minimum 8 years experience with related Master’s degree (OD, HR, LR, etc.)

  2. Experience delivering HR partnership and thought leadership in global organizations; outstanding cultural awareness skill set; global strategic insight.
  3. Ability to manage HR Programs in a complex and matrix business environment.
  4. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with ability to apply quantitative analysis to HR programs.
  5. Strong business acumen and people acumen, and ability to influence business leaders at an executive level.
  6. Requires advanced knowledge of governmental regulations and general HR practices.
  7. Must have experience resolving a wide range of employee relations problems.
  8. Advanced ability to encourage communication and resolve conflicts is essential.
  9. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
