Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to guide managers and employees on HR issues, ensure legal compliance, and drive workforce initiatives. The role emphasizes employee relations, investigations, payroll accuracy, and benefits administration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualification includes a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field and 5+ years of HR Generalist experience. Strong communication, confidentiality and problem-solving skills are required for success at Spectrum.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, related field or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
  • Must be eligible to work lawfully in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR issues and employment law.
  • Develop programs and initiatives to meet team needs.
  • Coordinate solutions with senior HR teammates and implement plans to address long-term HR needs and trends.
  • Perform advanced employee relations functions including coaching, disputes, performance management, terminations and exit interviews.
  • Conduct complex employee investigations and manage workers compensation reporting and safety processes.
  • Coordinate leave of absence programs, transitional work and accommodations, and conduct benefits open enrollment and trainings.
  • Ensure timely HRIS and payroll entries, conduct audits and maintain records.
  • Demonstrate project management, business acumen, and analytical skills.

Job description

This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

Do you want to shape HR strategies and support leaders in a fast-paced environment? As a Senior Human Resources Generalist at Spectrum, you'll administer policies and programs that balance employee advocacy and business needs. Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and provide comprehensive HR support across recruitment, retention, performance coaching, problem-solving and leadership development. You'll work with leaders to improve decisions and organizational effectiveness.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on human resources issues and employment law
  • Develop programs and initiatives to meet your team’s needs
  • Coordinate solutions with senior HR teammates and implement plans to address long-term human resource needs and trends
  • Perform advanced employee relations functions including counseling, dispute resolution, managing performance issues, reviewing termination requests and conducting exit interviews
  • Conduct complex and sensitive employee investigations, manage workers compensation reporting and safety regulation processes
  • Coordinate administration of leave of absence programs, transitional work and accommodations, conduct benefits open enrollment and employee and supervisor trainings
  • Ensure timely and accurate HRIS and payroll entries, perform audit and compliance functions and maintain employee records
  • Demonstrated project management skills, business acumen, and analytical skills

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, related field or equivalent
Experience
  • 5+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience
Skills
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with all levels of employees and the public

  • Demonstrated PC skills and Microsoft Office skills
  • Prioritize and organize work effectively and work independently

  • Knowledge of recruitment trends and technologies and of staffing and employment practices

  • Demonstrated analytical skills, business acumen and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Education
  • Certifications for Human Resource Professionals (PHR, SPHR) preferred
Skills
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record within company standards
  • Knowledge of Spectrum / telecommunications products and services

The base pay for this position generally is between $81,800.00 and $157,200.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
