Job summary

Metglas, Inc. in Conway, SC near Myrtle Beach, is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist for a 24/7 manufacturing plant. The role oversees payroll (ADP), benefits administration, recruitment, and HR compliance across our operations.

You will coordinate compensation programs, maintain HR records, and support EEO/AAP reporting, while partnering with EHS and leadership to drive safety and workforce success.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in an HR Generalist or HR Leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent with 5+ years of experience; HR certs preferred.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now and payroll processes.
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hourly compensation and evaluation programs with supervisors and managers.
• Handle benefits administration including claims resolution, enrollment, and communication.
• Assist with recruitment tasks including applications, interviews, offers, and pre-hire steps.
• Conduct new hire orientation and HR training.
• Maintain HRIS records and generate reports as needed.
• Process payroll cycles using ADP and ensure timely 401(k) contributions.

(then Allied Signal located in Morristown, NJ) pioneered the development and production of amorphous metal, a unique alloy that exhibits a structure in which the metal atoms occur in a random pattern. The key to Metglas Inc.’s proprietary manufacturing process is the rapid solidification of molten alloy at a rate of approximately one million degrees Celsius per second.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resource Generalist for our busy 24/7 manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities of Position:

• Committed to ensuring the safety of self and others through always working in a safe manner and following all safety procedures.
• Monitors and coordinates hourly compensation and evaluation programs with supervisors & managers.
• Handles benefits administration including claims resolution, change reporting, invoice approval, and benefits communication.
• Enrolls employees in benefits programs using online enrollment. Assists with annual open enrollment.
• Assist employees in resolving benefits issues and coordinates employee disability benefits.
• Reconciles benefits invoices and enters into A/P system for payment.
• Maintains affirmative action program, EEO reporting, and other records, reports, and logs to comply with all laws and regulations.
• Assists with recruitment tasks including application review, scheduling, interviewing, offer letters, and pre-hire steps.
• Conducts new hire orientation and other training.
• Maintains HR personnel information system records and compiles reports as needed.
• Makes appropriate payroll & information changes as necessary.
• Assists with worker’s compensation case management including claims reporting and record keeping.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
• Processes weekly & bi-weekly payroll using ADP processing system.
• E nsures 401(k) contributions are reported and posted weekly to employee accounts. Assists in all 401k audits and compliance reviews.
• Maintains employee attendance and vacation records.
• Conducts Exit Interviews.
• Assists in preparation of annual government compliance reporting including EEO and AAP.
• Provides employment verifications as requested.
• Updates various communication systems with new & revised information including HR forms, policies, job postings, etc.
• Handles employee relations concerns.
• Investigates and assists with investigations disciplinary actions, and coachings.
• Works closely with EHS Safety Department.
• Communicates employee issues to leadership.
• Provides administrative support to Human Resources Manager, Department, and Metglas as necessary.
• Coordinates community activities. Serves on employee committees.
• Manages FMLA & Leave processes with employees.
• Creates presentation material and is able to present and facilitate to 200 employees and leadership teams.
• Conducts training.

Experience/Education Required/Sought

• Bachelor's D egree in Human Resources or equivalent and 5+ years of relevant experience, or any combination of similar education and experience.
• HR certification(s) preferred, i.e. SHRM-CP, PHR
• ADP Workforce Now and payroll experience
• Performance Review and Merit Process experience and manager support
• Technically savvy
• Intermediate to advanced level in MS Excel, PPT, Outlook (will complete skills testing during interview process)
