Job summary

Anova Furnishings is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist for our Winona, MN manufacturing facility (75–80 employees). You will be the sole on-site HR professional, handling employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and payroll/compliance duties in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will coach supervisors, coordinate benefits, and partner with leadership to drive engagement, retention, and safety initiatives while representing Anova in the Winona community.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues and coach supervisors on resolving employee relations and performance issues using the CORE methodology
• Provide exemplary customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Manage full-cycle recruiting for the Winona facility with an annual hiring plan and school partnerships
• Reduce turnover by an effective onboarding process that sets new hires up for success
• Strengthen leadership by partnering with supervisors
• Coordinate performance management, coaching, goal setting, and GWC reviews
• Build employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives
• Coordinate benefits enrollment and payroll accuracy for the facility; ensure compliance with federal and Minnesota employment law
• Build relationships in Winona by attending job fairs, schools, and civic events; act as an Anova ambassador
• Track and report HR metrics: turnover, absenteeism, overtime, vacancies, training hours
• Support safety coordinator with workers’ compensation paperwork and timely communication
• Protect sensitive information and data across customers and employees

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in HR (or related field) or 4+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years as HR Generalist

We need a motivated Senior Human Resources Generalist to be the sole on-site HR professional for our Winona, MN manufacturing facility of 75–80 employees as we work to strengthen communities by designing, manufacturing, and selling beautiful outdoor site furnishings.

Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues and coach supervisors on how to resolve employee relations and performance issues using the CORE methodology

• Provide exemplary customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Manage full-cycle recruiting for the Winona facility to ensure we hire A-Players, including an annual hiring plan and partnerships with technical schools and community colleges
• Reduce turnover by ensuring we have and execute a great onboarding process that sets new hires up for success
• Strengthen the leadership team by developing strong partnerships with each supervisor
• Coordinate the performance management process, including quarterly coaching, goal and objective setting, and GWC reviews
• Build and lead employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives
• Coordinate benefits enrollment and payroll accuracy for the facility, and ensure compliance with federal and Minnesota employment law
• Build relationships in the Winona community by attending and engaging at job fairs, school and civic events, etc. to position us as an employer of choice; be an ambassador of Anova, telling our story
• Track and report HR metrics — turnover, absenteeism, overtime, vacancies, and training hours
• Support safety coordinator by processing and tracking all workers’ compensation paperwork ensuring communication is timely and clear to those involved
