Base pay range
$75,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Our client is a large, multinational manufacturing company seeking a Senior HR Generalist responsible for 200+ employees in a 24x7 environment.
Specific day-to-day activities include but are not limited to:
- Employee relations and employee engagement
- Support supervisors and associates with communications, training, and coaching to interpret and apply HR policies and procedures, especially in core areas such as time and attendance, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, pay, and benefits
- Respond to and resolve complaints or conflicts through investigations and providing recommendations/resolutions for corrective action in accordance with company policy
- Serve as the first point of contact between employees and HR
- Coordinate and plan employee events (e.g., lunches, awards, cookouts, holiday meals)
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies
Execute all recruitment and onboarding processes
- Maintain internal and external job postings
- Handle applicant flow, including employee referrals
- Facilitate and participate in interviews and influence hiring decisions
- Collaborate with local technical schools to develop talent pools for skilled workers (e.g., CNC machinists, welders)
- Conduct employee onboarding and assist in training & development planning
Execute HR operational and administrative tasks
- Prepare and execute tasks related to compensation and benefits programs
- Manage performance management processes
- Prepare bi-weekly and monthly HR reports
- Gather and analyze HR metrics
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper formats
- Manage payroll and timecard processes, working with managers to resolve discrepancies and ensure policy compliance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of general HR policies and procedures
- Pleasant demeanor and attitude
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with HRIS systems is a plus
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Customer service orientation
- Strong planning, organization, and multitasking skills
- Flexibility to adapt schedule to business needs
Education & Experience
- 1-3 years of HR experience required
- BS/BA in Business Administration or a relevant field is a plus
- Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
