Job summary

Floor 84 Studio in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced HTML5 game programmer to build core gameplay systems and integrate assets across multiple projects. You will contribute code and collaborate with the programming team to meet tight deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in game development, strong knowledge of TypeScript or C#, WebGL/OpenGL, and hands-on experience with Phaser and Three.JS. A passion for gaming and proactive communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience and/or training.
• Strong experience in multiple programming languages, preferably Typescript or C#.
• Strong understanding of rendering pipelines, preferably WebGL or OpenGL.
• Strong experience with HTML5 game frameworks, preferably Phaser and Three.JS.
• Experience in networking (peer-to-peer and client-server) and memory management.
• Passion for gaming and proactive collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build core gameplay systems and features across a variety of game genres.
• Integrate assets based on ticketing system specifications.
• Review and fix bugs and prevent regressions.
• Deliver stable, performant builds meeting deadlines.
• Provide insights for art preparation to optimize runtime performance.
• Assist in automation of build pipelines and tool chains.
• Maintain and grow a core game framework used across projects.
