Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Strategic HR Leader to partner with leadership, shape HR strategy, and drive workforce planning across multiple manufacturing sites. You will champion change, monitor HR metrics, and ensure compliant people practices.

You will lead employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, development, and performance initiatives, while maintaining accurate records and reporting. Travel between sites is required to support operations and culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to support operations across multiple company locations.

Description
  1. Strategic HR Leadership
    • Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives
    • Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design initiatives.
    • Champion change management efforts and drive continuous improvement in HR processes.
    • Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions.
  2. Employee Relations & Compliance:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and issues.
    • Manage complex employee relations issues and investigations with professionalism and discretion.
    • Promote a positive work environment and uphold company values and culture.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  3. Talent Management and Development:
    • Oversee and implement recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
    • Implement training and development programs that enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
    • Drive performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives.
    • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  4. Talent Acquisition
    • Partner with business leaders to develop and execute talent acquisition strategies that align with workforce planning, organizational growth, and business objectives.
    • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for key and strategic roles, including sourcing, interviewing, candidate assessment, offer negotiation, and onboarding support.
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify talent needs, define role requirements, and improve recruitment processes to ensure an efficient and positive candidate experience.
    • Utilize workforce analytics, market trends, and talent data to provide insights on hiring effectiveness, retention risks, and competitive talent strategies.
    • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines through networking, employer branding, succession planning, and partnerships with external recruiting resources and industry organizations.
  1. Compliance & Record-Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and documentation related to employment practices.
    • Prepare and submit reports related to HR metrics and compliance.
  2. HR Projects & Initiatives:
    • Lead or participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and HR processes.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proven ability to support operations at multiple company locations.
    • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Working Conditions
  • This is a multi-site position that will support operations at multiple company locations.
  • Will require travel between sites.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with varying levels of noise and physical activity.
