This exempt role focuses on advising agency leadership on HR functions, including employee relations, policy implementation, and workforce planning, with a broad scope of responsibilities across statewide programs.

Salary typically starts at $67,314.00 and may be commensurate with education and experience.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of the principles, laws, regulations, theories and practices of human resources management.
• Thorough knowledge of statewide HR mission, vision, and goals.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Experience with HR information systems and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provides consultation and guidance to agency executives and local office staff regarding HR functions and issues.
• Identifies classification/compensation problems and recommends solutions to management.
• Develops curriculum and coordinates or conducts training on HR topics.
• Reviews agency policies and requests for working test extensions.
• May coordinate agency new employee orientation.
• Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
