Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking an HR Operations and Labor Relations Specialist to act as a subject matter expert for labor and employee relations, and to provide operational support to HR Business Partners and HR Operations Leaders. The role leads investigations, workshops, and HR projects while tracking compliance and industry trends.

The candidate will advise leadership on labor relations, manage grievances and arbitration processes, and supervise multiple HR processes including payroll

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead labor relations and employee relations duties including advising leadership and liaising with union leadership; prepare LOAs; support union negotiations, grievances and arbitration.
• Lead HR investigations, draft final reports, and brief Senior Leadership on findings and recommendations; conduct investigation training.
• Maintain grievance and seniority databases; manage contract language updates; coordinate payroll changes and base wage increases; partner with IT/Payroll/HRIS on system changes.
• Oversee HR operations including budget variance research, records retention, and back-up support to HRBPs.
