Bloomingdale's is seeking a Senior Director, HR Business Partner to act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders across merchandising, planning, strategy, and finance. This on-site role in Long Island City leads workforce strategy, culture, and organizational effectiveness to drive growth and performance.

The candidate will guide talent strategy, leadership development, succession planning, and change management while partnering with Talent Acquisition to attract top talent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Proven experience partnering with executive leaders to develop and implement workforce and talent strategies.
• Demonstrated success leading talent management, succession planning, organizational design, and change management initiatives.
• Strong analytical and business acumen with the ability to leverage data to influence decisions.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive coaching skills.
• Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive outcomes across multiple business functions.
• Experience in retail, luxury, consumer, or customer-facing environments preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining focus on strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Partnership: advise senior leaders on talent, organization, culture, and change management.
• Translate business priorities into workforce strategies supporting growth and operational excellence.
• Partner with leaders to anticipate future workforce needs and ensure talent alignment.
• Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and organizational assessments.
• Coach and influence senior leaders on talent decisions and leadership development.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract and retain top talent.
• Organizational Effectiveness: design orgs and workforce plans that align with priorities.
• Assess health and enhance team effectiveness, accountability, and collaboration.
• Support large-scale transformations and strategic initiatives.
• Consult on organizational impact of process improvements and restructurings.
