Job summary

Kroger Manufacturing in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an experienced HR leader to oversee legal compliance and employee relations across the plant. You will guide safety, training, investigations, and performance management to support our SQR and Customer 1st strategy.

Lead union relations where applicable, recruit and staff, develop compensation practices, and ensure benefit programs are communicated and administered to support a productive, compliant manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR/organizational field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years HR experience in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions.
• Thorough knowledge of plant procedures and policies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Foster open communication with plant associates and corporate office.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with policy administration, posting and work rules.
• Participate in major plant initiatives and decisions.
• Uphold a union-free culture where applicable.
• Communicate the connection between performance and opportunity.
• Develop and oversee recognition, rewards and engagement programs.
• Direct recruiting, staffing and succession planning at the plant.
• Communicate and ensure benefit programs and health/life coverage.
