Job summary

The Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability is seeking a senior HR professional to support academic, non-academic staff, and faculty. This role reports to the Director for Human Resources and Faculty Affairs and combines HR and Faculty Affairs responsibilities for assigned client groups.

An experienced HR professional will transfer knowledge to FA work. The position will oversee HR/FA processes, provide guidance to managers and senior leaders, and support faculty appointment and promotion

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in higher education or large organizations.
• Knowledge of faculty affairs processes is highly desirable, with ability to transfer HR skills to FA work.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy for sensitive employee and faculty matters.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, prioritization, and follow-through in high-demand workloads.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership, managers and staff to provide expert advice on HR/FA functions including organizational development, employee relations, classification and compensation, recruitment, retention, performance management, and staff development.
